Publication Fees & Open Access Policy
At International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (IJIR), we are committed to maintaining a transparent, ethical, and accessible publication model for researchers worldwide. To support editorial sustainability while preserving fairness and academic accessibility, the journal operates under a single-fee open access publishing model.
Submission Fee
There is no submission fee. Authors may submit manuscripts free of charge without any initial payment obligation.
Peer Review Fee
There is no peer review fee. All editorial screening and double-blind peer review procedures are conducted without charge to authors.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
A publication fee is requested only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and receives final editorial acceptance.
£150 GBP – Standard APC per accepted article
This fee supports the long-term sustainability and quality of journal operations, including:
- Editorial workflow and publication management.
- Plagiarism screening and quality assurance.
- DOI registration through Crossref.
- Metadata registration and indexing preparation.
- Website hosting and technical maintenance.
- Long-term digital archiving and accessibility preservation.
Authors are never charged before final editorial acceptance.

No Hidden Charges Policy
IJIR does not charge:
- Submission fees.
- Fast-track review fees.
- Hidden editorial or administrative fees.
- Formatting fees.
- Unjustified withdrawal penalties.
We are committed to full transparency in all publication-related costs.
Waiver Policy
IJIR may consider partial or full APC waivers in exceptional cases, especially for authors without institutional funding, early-career researchers, independent scholars, and authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries.
Waiver requests must be submitted before final acceptance and are assessed independently from editorial evaluation. A waiver request has no influence on peer review, editorial decision-making, or publication priority.
Editorial Independence
Payment has no influence on editorial decisions. All submissions are evaluated solely on academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, scholarly integrity, and relevance to the journal’s interdisciplinary scope.
APC payment is requested only after final editorial acceptance.
Free Academic Translation Support
To enhance international accessibility and support scholarly communication, accepted manuscripts may receive complimentary academic English language support from the editorial team prior to publication.
This support is currently available for manuscripts submitted in: English, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Italian, Korean, Hindi, and Persian.
For manuscripts in other languages, authors are encouraged to contact the editorial office for further guidance.
Payment Timing
The APC is payable only after acceptance. No payment is requested before peer review or as a condition for editorial assessment.
Withdrawal Charges
The journal does not charge authors for withdrawing a manuscript before peer review begins. If a manuscript is withdrawn after peer review or after acceptance, any administrative charge, if applied, will never exceed the stated APC.
Refunds
Once an accepted article has been published online with DOI registration, the APC is generally non-refundable except in cases of duplicate payment or administrative error.
Publication Fee Notice
The journal does not charge any fee at submission or peer-review stage. A publication fee of £150 GBP is requested only when a manuscript is accepted and ready for publication.
